Our Mission# ABOUT PAGE ## My Story: From Baby Dumplings to 10-Talent Steward --- ## **WHO I AM** I'm David Brown. I'm 70 years old. I'm a husband of 50 years to my wife Susan, who saw something in me I couldn't see in myself. I'm a father. A grandfather. A former CMA (Certified Management Accountant). A #1 sales leader. A published author. **And for 60 years, I was "Baby Dumplings"—a name given to me by a childhood bully that controlled every decision I made.** Today, I'm learning to walk as a **VICTOR, not a victim.** This is my story. --- ## **THE SUMMER EVERYTHING CHANGED (1965)** I was 12 years old when Wayne Bentley's family moved to a farm near ours. We became friends instantly—two country boys with the whole summer ahead of us. Then one day in the barn, Wayne showed me something he said the older boys did. Something called "getting chiz" (slang for semen). **He molested me. I molested him.** I didn't have words for what happened. I just knew it felt wrong. Shamef

This community and message are built on a few foundational convictions:


Stewardship — Wealth, time, influence, and resources are gifts entrusted by God and are to be managed with wisdom, integrity, and humility.


Faith — Jesus Christ is the foundation. Faith is not separate from daily life; it shapes how we live, lead, work, and love.


Alignment — True freedom comes when beliefs, actions, and priorities are brought into alignment with God’s design.


Fixing our eyes on Jesus — We choose focus over distraction, obedience over fear, and truth over noise.


“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Like a farmer who prepares the soil and trusts God for the harvest, refiring is not about starting over—it is about being refined, repositioned, and ready for what is next.
